Seasonal Low Pressure Influences Cyprus Sea Weather

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, detailing the expected weather conditions from 1200 on June 24, 2026, to 1200 on June 25, 2026. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards from the coast of Cyprus.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the region is currently experiencing seasonal low pressure, which is impacting the weather conditions. The forecast indicates that while the weather will be mainly fine, there will be instances of low cloud cover. Moreover, there is a risk of local mist or fog patches developing overnight and during dawn, which may result in moderate to poor visibility in those periods.

The atmospheric pressure at the time the forecast was issued is noted at 1007 hectopascals. Sea surface temperatures are recorded at 25°C, a typical reading for this time of year. Furthermore, no warnings have been issued for the sea area, suggesting that conditions are expected to remain stable overall during the forecast period.
