Seasonal Low Pressure Brings Cloud Coverage and Fog to Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating that a seasonal low pressure system is impacting the region. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and is valid from 0600 on August 3, 2025, until 0600 on August 4, 2025.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issue was recorded at 1006 hPa. The presence of locally increased cloud coverage is expected throughout the period. Additionally, local mist or fog patches may develop tonight and during dawn, which could reduce visibility.

The visibility in the area is expected to remain good under normal conditions but is anticipated to become moderate to poor in mist and very poor in fog. Despite these conditions, no warnings have been issued for the region. The sea surface temperature remains at 28°C.
