Cyprus Braces for Potential Low Visibility Due to Mist

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that while the weather will generally remain fine, there is an expected increase in low cloud cover tonight, leading to a potential risk of local mist.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the seasonal low pressure currently affecting the region could result in diminished visibility, ranging from moderate to poor due to the mist. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and notes that the atmospheric pressure at the time of the report stood at 1008 hPa. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 28°C, and there are no warnings issued at this time.

The department has advised maritime activities to be conducted with caution due to the potential for reduced visibility. The forecast will remain in effect from 1800 on August 3, 2025, until 1800 on August 4, 2025, with all times referenced in local time.
