RIF Signs Agreement for Development of New Grants Management Platform

Nicosia: The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announced on Tuesday the signing of an agreement with NetU Consultants Ltd for the development and implementation of a new integrated grants management platform, based on the Salesforce Grants Management Platform.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the new Software as a Service (SaaS) platform will cover all stages of project funding, from the announcement of calls to the disbursement of payments to the ecosystem. RIF noted that it will also support expanded capabilities for the flexible development of functionalities and business workflows.

RIF highlighted that the objective of the project is to develop a modern and secure grants management system to enhance the quality and efficiency of funding procedures. It aims to offer a unified, user-friendly, and seamless experience for all stakeholders, including applicants, beneficiaries, evaluators, and RIF personnel.

RIF Director General, Theodoros Loukaidis, stated that the agreement marks an important milestone in a transformation journey that began 3.5 years ago. He expressed the ambition to have the new system fully operational within nine months to support the new Programming Period 2028-2034 in a timely manner.

CEO of NetU Group, Demetris Nisiotis, mentioned that the use of the Salesforce Grants Management platform, an internationally recognized solution for similar organizations, is expected to enhance RIF's operational effectiveness. Its implementation is a decisive step towards the digital upgrade of the Foundation, creating added value for its officers and the organizations it engages with.

The collaboration with NetU Consultants Ltd is an important step towards strengthening RIF as a modern, efficient, and fully digital organization, actively supporting research and innovation in Cyprus, RIF stated.
