The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, had a meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, at the Presidential Palace on Monday evening.
Metsola arrived around 21:00 at the Presidential Palace where she was received by President Christodoulides, with whom she had a brief private meeting.
Afterwards, the President of the Republic and the President of the European Parliament had a private dinner.
It is noted that on Tuesday, at 11.45 am, President Christodoulides and Roberta Metsola will visit the port of Larnaka, where the President of the European Parliament will inspect the facilities and processes carried out within the framework of the “Amalthea” initiative, and then go to the Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (SRC), where they will make statements to the media, before Metsola leaves Cyprus.
