President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades said on Thursday that Ukraine’s President Volodimir Zelensky has telephoned him to convey his country’s appreciation for the support Cyprus offers to his country and to invite him to visit Kiev.
In a message on Twitter, President Anastasiades said that he has received a call by the President of Ukraine, where the latter expressed appreciation for Cyprus’ “support to EU perspective of his country & thanked for humanitarian assistance from Cyprus”.
President Zelensky, said President Anastasiades, attributed the disruption of communication with the House of Representatives back in April “to a technical glitch”.
The Cypriot President said Zelensky invited him “to visit Ukraine when possible”.
