Nicosia: The total stocks of petroleum products saw a significant increase of 14.3% by the end of July 2026 compared to the previous month, as reported by the Statistical Service on Thursday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, July 2026 recorded total petroleum product sales of 146,656 tonnes, marking a 1.3% rise compared to July 2025. Notable increases were seen in aviation kerosene provisions (3.2%), as well as in the sales of heavy and light fuel oil (166.9% and 20.1%, respectively), liquefied petroleum gases (7.3%), motor gasoline (6.2%), road diesel (5.5%), and asphalt (4.4%). However, marine gasoil provisions experienced a decline of 35.3%.
Sales from filling stations alone registered a 5.9% rise, reaching 66,187 tonnes. Comparing July 2026 to June 2026, the total sales of petroleum products increased by 13.3%. Aviation kerosene provisions rose by 25.1%, with road diesel and motor gasoline sales increasing by 13.3% and 10.4%, respectively. Meanwhile, marine gasoil provisions dropped by 25.9%.
For the period from January to July 2026, there was an overall increase of 1.2% in petroleum product sales compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.
