Over Pound 98 Million Allocated for 2025-2027 Urban Development Projects, Ioannou Announces

Nicosia: The government has unveiled plans to allocate over pound 98 million for urban development projects across Cyprus from 2025-2027, as announced by the Minister of the Interior, Konstantinos Ioannou.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Ioannou revealed this significant investment during the inauguration of the “Redevelopment of Squares and Streets in the Core of Idali – Phase B2.” He emphasized that the numerous urban regeneration projects underway or in planning stages across all provinces result from a targeted policy within the Ministry’s strategic plan. This initiative aims to foster the development and revitalization of urban and rural areas while promoting and safeguarding the nation’s natural and cultural heritage.

Representing President Nikos Christodoulides at the event, Ioannou highlighted that the Department of Town Planning and Housing is committing over pound 98 million for urban planning projects between 2025 and 2027. This funding is dedicated to executing road works and infrastructure enhancements aimed at improving the visual appeal and quality of life in various Municipalities and Communities.
