Nicosia: "Until now no new Foot and Mouth Disease cases have been detected, based on the laboratory results," the Veterinary Services said on Tuesday. They added that "sampling as well as checks within the framework of epidemiological assessment and monitoring continue" throughout Cyprus.
According to Cyprus News Agency, a total of 116 units have been found to be positive for FMD. Referring to the vaccination programme for cows and goats, the Veterinary Services mentioned that the second dose of vaccination across Cyprus will be completed on Wednesday, within the timeframe set.
