Nicosia: The Road Transport Department has revoked the certificate of suitability of Opel/Vauxhall vehicles for the replacement of Takata driver airbags.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Department announced in a press release that the recall was initiated due to defective Takata driver airbags in an additional 688 vehicles. The manufacturer, Opel/Vauxhall, has instructed owners to take immediate action.
As a result, the Road Transport Department has proceeded with the revocation of the certificate of suitability for the affected vehicles. Vehicle owners are advised to contact the manufacturer’s distributor in Cyprus, CIC Automasters, for further instructions.
