The Ministry of Defence participated in the 1st European Defence Innovation Day, organised by the European Defence Agency on 31 May in Brussels, under the auspices of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU.
According to the Ministry’s announcement, the event hosted an exhibition of innovative R&D products and projects from 19 Member States, with the Ministry of Defence represented with its own booth in which Cypriot SMEs active in R&D in the field of Defence and Security participated.
It is also noted that the Cyprus booth was visited by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, and the Executive Director of the European Defence Agency, Jirí Šedivý.
