Military parade to take place on the occasion of Cyprus’ Independence Day

The military parade on the occasion of Cyprus’ Independence Day will take place again this year on the 1st of October in Nicosia.

 

The parade for the 62nd anniversary since Cyprus’ independence will begin at 11 in the morning with the participation of military units and aircraft of the National Guard, the Police and the Fire Service.

 

President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades will receive the salute accompanied by Minister of Defence Charalambos Petrides and Chief of National Guard Lieutenant General Dimokritos Zervakis.

 

The Greek government will be represented by Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos who will be accompanied by Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff Konstantinos Floros.

 

The parade will be attended also by Ambassadors, military attachees of foreign states and other officials.
