Maritime aid corridor to Gaza proposal “at international community’s disposal”

The Cyprus government's proposal to establish a maritime humanitarian corridor to Gaza is at the disposal of the international community, Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis told reporters on Thursday. Asked during the regular briefing of journalists, if there are any updates on the implementation of the sea corridor for the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, Letymbiotis said that "the Republic of Cyprus has drawn up a very specific plan in very distinct phases, stages, which has already been put to the test and can be implemented." At the level where the Republic of Cyprus could take responsibility, this has been achieved with great success, he added. He said that "the proposal is available to the international community, is being discussed and is considered useful, and if there is something more concrete, it will be announced at the appropriate time."
