Paris: Minister of Defence Vasilis Palmas is traveling to Paris on Tuesday to participate in the International Defense and Security Exhibition "EUROSATORY 2026," where the Republic of Cyprus will be represented by a national pavilion.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Cypriot participation is under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence and is being implemented as part of the strategy to strengthen the international outreach and presence of the Cypriot defence industry, a Ministry press release said.
During his stay in Paris, Minister Palmas will preside over the opening of the Cypriot pavilion, which hosts a number of representatives from the Cypriot defence industry. He is also scheduled to meet with the Secretary of Defence Products of the Brazilian Ministry of Defence.
In addition to these engagements, the Cypriot Minister will sign an Agreement on the Exchange and Mutual Protection of Classified Information between the Republic of Cyprus and the European Space Agency (ESA). This agreement represents an important step toward further strengthening the country's cooperation with the Agency in areas of strategic importance.
