Loans to businesses fell by 2.3% in July with respect to the same month in 2022, the Bank of Italy said on Monday.
This compares to a year-on-year drop of 1.7% in June.
Loans to families dropped by 0.3% year-on-year, compared to a year-on-year rise of 0.2% in June.
Loans to non-financial corporations fell by 4% year-on-year, compared to a year-on-year drop of 3.2% in June.
