Japan’s foreign trade surplus at $2.4B


ISTANBUL: Japan’s foreign trade surplus was 366.5 billion yen ($2.37 billion) in March, versus minus 750.8 billion yen, official figures from the Finance Ministry on Wednesday showed.

The country’s exports totaled 9.47 trillion yen ($61.3 billion), increasing by 7.3% year-on-year in March.

The Japanese imports declined by 4.9% to 9.1 trillion yen ($58.9 billion) in the month, versus March 2023.

The US and China were the main foreign trade partners of the country.
