House Speaker Annita Demetriou on Thursday met with Greece’s Minister of Justice, Costas Tsiaras, who is visiting Cyprus at the invitation of his counterpart Stephie Drakos.
An announcement by the parliament says that Tsiaras briefed the House President on the justice reforms in Greece, the digitalization of many legal procedures and the building upgrade of the courts for the benefit of the citizens and the delivery of justice.
Demetriou informed the Minister on the reforms currently taking place in Cyprus in the areas of local administration and justice and on the bills before the parliament which are prerequisites for the funding by EU’s mechanism of resilience and recovery.
During the meeting they also discussed the Russian invasion in Ukraine, the food crisis, ways to enhance the bilateral ties.
