Nicosia: The President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, has embarked on a significant three-day visit to Cyprus, marking his first foreign visit since taking office. This visit, taking place from May 7 to 9, is at the invitation of Cyprus’ President Nikos Christodoulides, as outlined in a press release from the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus.

According to Cyprus News Agency, President Tasoulas will be officially welcomed at the Presidential Palace on his arrival. Following the reception, the two leaders will engage in a private meeting, during which President Christodoulides will bestow upon President Tasoulas the Grand Collar of the Order of Makarios III. The meeting will be succeeded by extended talks between delegations from both nations, culminating in a joint press statement by the two Presidents.

The itinerary includes an official dinner hosted by President Christodoulides at the Presidential Palace in honor of President Tasoulas. On the second day, President Tasoulas will visit Nicosia City Hall and will be greeted by Mayor Charalambos Prountzos. Together with President Christodoulides, he will tour the buffer zone, followed by a visit to the ELDYK army camp in Malounda and the “Imprisoned Graves,” where he will lay a wreath.

Later that day, President Tasoulas will meet with Archbishop Georgios of Cyprus and then proceed to meet Annita Demetriou, President of the House. He will address the Plenary, with President Christodoulides in attendance. On the final day, May 9, President Tasoulas is scheduled to visit the Makedonitissa Tomb to lay a wreath. Prior to his departure, he will conduct separate meetings with organized groups and leaders of parliamentary parties.
