The forecast applies to an area extending 8 kilometers seawards, with conditions expected to remain mostly stable despite the seasonal low-pressure system affecting the region.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of issue was recorded at 1008 hPa. The weather is predicted to be mainly fine, though there is a risk of locally increased low cloud coverage, particularly overnight and during the morning hours. Visibility in the area is expected to remain good, with no warnings currently issued for the sea regions.
The forecast details varying wind patterns across the west, south, east, and north coasts of Cyprus. On the west coast, winds will initially range from northwest to northeast at Beaufort scale 3, with a local increase to 4, moving from southwest to northwest by afternoon. Similar conditions are expected across the south coast, with winds gradually shifting from variable to southeast and southwest as the day progresses.
In the east coast area, winds will start from the southwest, transitioning to northwest by morning, and will continue to shift southeast to southwest later in the day. The north coast will experience winds from southeast to southwest at night, transitioning to west and northwest by morning, with a slight increase in strength anticipated in the afternoon.
The sea surface temperature is expected to be 29°C, with the state of the sea remaining smooth to slight across all coastal areas.
