Foreign Minister Kombos assures relations will be further enhanced with Ukraine and Jordan

Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos assured the ambassador of Ukraine to Cyprus and his Jordanian counterpart that he will enhance and support the two countries.

In posts on Twitter, he thanked Ukraine’s Ambassador in Nicosia Ruslan Nimchynskyi for their meeting on Tuesday and for the painting of autumn flowers by a young Ukrainian girl who has found refuge in Cyprus. “It has truly moved us. #Cyprus supports and stands with #Ukraine”, he remarked.

On his part, the Ukrainian diplomat expressed his country’s gratitude for the Republic of Cyprus’ support to the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of his country, as well as the unprecedented humanitarian help to the people of Ukraine.

Kombos also said he was “grateful for the warm and cordial conversation with Minister Ayman Al Safadi where he conveyed his “personal commitment to see that our indispensable friendship with Jordan, a friendship firmly based on international law, grows from strength to strength.”

In a post on the conversation, Al Safadi said he congratulated his Cypriot counterpart for his appointment and looks forward to cooperating with him to boost the powerful friendship between the two peoples. Cooperation between Jordan and Cyprus continues to grow, he added.
