Foreign Minister Discusses Schengen and Cyprus’ EU Presidency with Cypriot MEPs

Brussels: Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos met with Cypriot Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) in Brussels on Monday to brief them on the progress of Cyprus’ bid for full accession to the Schengen Area.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Minister Kombos shared details in a post on his personal account on the platform X, describing the meeting as ‘another productive exchange’ with Cyprus’ MEPs. He highlighted the discussions that focused on preparations for the upcoming Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which Cyprus is set to assume in the first half of 2026.
