Foreign direct investment flows to Trkiye hits $1.5B in 1st quarter


ANKARA: Foreign direct investment (FDI) flows to Trkiye amounted to $1.5 billion in the first quarter of this year, the International Investors Association (YASED) said on Monday.

Citing to data from the Turkish Central Bank, the sectoral group said equity capital inflow totaled at $1.2 billion in January-March.

Trkiye received $796 million through real estate investments from foreigners, it added.

The Netherlands was the largest source of FDI flows into Trkiye, accounting for 25% of the total, followed by the US with 21% and Germany with 12% over the three-month period.
