FM travels to Morocco for the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh/ ISIL

Cyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides, is travelling to Morocco Tuesday, to participate in the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh / ISIL that will take place on Wednesday, May 11th.

A press release by the MFA says that the Global Coalition against Daesh / ISIL was formed in 2014 and its 84 members include states and international organisations.

The meeting is organized by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco Nasser Bourita and the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, in Marrakesh, aiming to coordinate international efforts to combat terrorism.

During the meeting Kasoulides will make an intervention on the situation in Africa, Syria and Iraq. He will also hold bilateral contacts and meetings with his counterparts participating in the meeting.

The Foreign Minister returns to Cyprus on Thursday, May 12.
