Finnish FM expresses support to greater stability and prosperity in Cyprus and Eastern Mediterranean region

It has always been and will be in the interest of Finland to support a greater stability and prosperity of Cyprus and the whole Eastern Mediterranean region, Finnish Foreign Minister, Pekka Haavisto, said in recorded video message by which he sent his greetings to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, to honor the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Finland and Cyprus.

Noting that “the diplomatic relations between Finland and Cyprus were established on September 2nd 1961” and that “sixty years have passed since that remarkable moment”, Haavisto said that “relations between Finland and Cyprus have always been good and continue to strengthen even further the cooperation between our two countries.”
