Cyprus Health Ministry on Monday announced a new categorization of countries based on their epidemiological data, to come into effect Thursday, October 7th. Seven countries change category. Malta moves to green category and Hungary to orange, Liechtenstein, Norway and Japan move to orange as well and Luxembourg and Singapore move to red category. Rwanda and Chile, following an EC decision, are classified in the list of countries from where non-essential traveling is allowed to EU countries.
The categorisation for the countries of the European Union and the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) as well as Switzerland, in the Green, Orange or Red Categories, is based on that of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
