The discussion on the draft options paper regarding the European Union’s response to the actions taken by Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot leadership in the fenced off area of Varosha will be continued at the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) on Monday December 13th, CNA has learned.
The draft was discussed on late Wednesday afternoon during the meeting of the permanent representatives of the member states (COREPER), as part of the preparation for the next meeting of the Foreign Ministers at the FAC.
The options paper was prepared by the European External Action Service after being given a mandate by the previous FAC.
