Nicosia: Minister of Defence, Vasilis Palmas, met with the Adjutant General of the New Jersey National Guard, Brigadier General Yvonne L. Mays, at his office on Friday. Palmas discussed the ongoing collaboration between the Republic of Cyprus and the State of New Jersey under the State Partnership Programme (SPP).

According to Cyprus News Agency, the meeting included an assessment of the progress achieved through the SPP, highlighting the formal collaboration between the two regions. Both parties explored prospects for expanding the Programme into additional areas, reinforcing the commitment to broaden their partnership.

Palmas expressed appreciation for the New Jersey National Guard's contribution to enhancing the capabilities of the Cypriot National Guard. He confirmed the Ministry of Defence's commitment to continue and strengthen the cooperation within the framework of the SPP, recognizing the significant role played by the New Jersey National Guard.
