Decisive Return Matches for Cypriot Teams in UEFA Competitions

Nicosia: Three Cypriot teams are playing decisive return matches in the UEFA competitions in which they are competing.

According to Cyprus News Agency, first up is Omonia, who hosts Araz Azerbaijan at 20:00 at the GSP Stadium. A 4-0 away win gives the Nicosia team a clear qualifying advantage for the Conference League play-offs. In case of qualification, Omonia will play in the Conference League play-offs against the loser of the PAOK – Wolfsberger AC matchup (the first leg in Greece ended 0-0, with the return leg taking place tonight in Austria).

At 21:00, Aris Limassol will play against AEK Athens in the Greek capital. The 2-2 draw in the first leg in Limassol allows Aris to claim qualification for the Conference League play-offs. If Aris qualifies, the team will face the winner of the Sheriff Tiraspol – Anderlecht matchup (Anderlecht won the first match 3-0 in Brussels, with the return leg tonight).

At 22:00, AEK Larnaca will play Legia in Poland, with a 4-1 advantage from the first leg in Larnaca. If AEK qualify, the Cypriot team will continue its journey in the Europa League play-offs, where it will face the winner of the matchup between H¤cken of Sweden and Brann of Norway (Brann won the first leg 2-0, with the second leg taking place tonight). If AEK is eliminated by Legia, the team will compete in the Conference League play-offs against the winner of the matchup between Partizan Belgrade and Hibernian (Hibernian won the first match 2-0, with the second leg taking place tonight).
