Syrians Deported Following Clash in Limassol

Limassol: Syrians involved in a clash have been deported from Cyprus after coordinated actions by the Ministry of Justice and Public Order and the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection.

According to Cyprus News Agency, this action is part of the government’s strict immigration policy aimed at addressing criminal offenses and delinquent behavior by foreigners seeking or granted international protection.

The Republic of Cyprus has been actively implementing measures against such activities, with more than 3,600 Syrians having left the country since December 9, 2024. From January 2025 to the present, over 8,000 third-country nationals have been repatriated. The statistics also indicate that in 2024, a total of 10,092 third-country nationals were repatriated, following 9,193 in 2023.

These figures highlight an upward trend in repatriations, underscoring the government’s commitment to its migration policy, as emphasized by the sources.
