Cyprus trade deficit at €4.4 mn in first seven months of 2022

The trade deficit in January – July 2022 was €4.4 mn compared to €3.2 mn in the corresponding period of 2021, according to the final data released on Wednesday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

 

According to its publication “Intra and Extra EU Trade Statistics”, the European Union was the main source of supply of goods to Cyprus with a share of €3.952,7 mn of total imports, while imports from all other European countries totalled €624.4 mn in January – July 2022. Imports from the rest of the world amounted to €2.119,1 mn.

 

Exports to the European Union accounted for €648.0 mn, while exports to all other European countries for €248.0 mn in January – July 2022. Exports to the rest of the world amounted to €1,369.8 mn.
