Cyprus Stock Exchange Records Mixed Performance with Positive Gains in Key Indices

Nicosia: The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) concluded its trading session with a mixed performance, as key indices registered gains while others faced declines. The CSE All Share Index reflected varied outcomes across different market sectors.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the FTSE/CySE 20 Index saw a modest increase of 0.410%, closing at 180,970 points with a traded value of 160.935,210 euros. This index comprises the top 20 companies, indicating a positive trend in the leading market players.

The Main Market Index also recorded an upward movement, gaining 0.380% to reach 244,750 points with a traded value of 128.720,870 euros. This positive change highlights investor confidence in the primary market segment.

Conversely, the Investment Companies Market Index experienced a decline of 0.960%, settling at 2.964,920 points with a value of 30.714,290 euros. This drop indicates a downward trend in the investment companies' market segment.

Another positive development was observed in the CSE General Index, which rose by 0.410% to 307,880 points, with a total traded value of 164.560,580 euros. This rise aligns with the gains seen in the broader market indices.

The Hotels Index emerged as the top performer of the day, with an increase of 0.790% to 1.861,480 points and a traded value of 8.934,030 euros. This gain suggests a favorable outlook for the hospitality sector.

Meanwhile, the Alternative Market Index exhibited a slight increase of 0.050%, closing at 2.036,860 points, with a traded value of 39.463,710 euros. This minor gain indicates stability within the alternative investment market.

Overall, the Cyprus Stock Exchange showed an encouraging performance in several key indices, reflecting a mix of investor sentiment across different market sectors.
