Cyprus reports four deaths from COVID-19 and 1,764 cases on Saturday, 160 people are in hospital

Cyprus authorities reported four more deaths from COVID-19 on Saturday and 1,764 new cases. At the same time 160 patients with the disease are in hospital, 37 of whom in a serious condition.

The total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 have reached 823 and cases 304,425, a Health Ministry press release said.

The deceased were two men 90 and 75 years of age who passed away on February 18 and an 82 year-old man and an 88 year-old woman who passed away on Saturday.

In total 160 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in state hospitals, 37 of whom in a serious condition. Thirteen people are in an ICU, 11 are intubated and 2 are breathing without the help of the ventilator. Another 24 are being treated in an ACU.

The percentage of people in hospital who are unvaccinated is 66.88%.
