Police in Cyprus fined 59 individuals and 2 establishment owners for violations of measures to contain COVID-19 in a total of 3,435 checks carried out during the last 24 hours across the island.
An officer from the Police Press Office told the Cyprus News Agency that in Nicosia the Police carried out 275 checks and fined 2 people, in Limassol 23 individuals and 2 owners of establishments were fined in a total of 315 checks and in Larnaka 7 people were fined in 428 checks.
In Famagusta the checks carried out were 1,406 and the Police fined 23 people while in Morphou 236 checks were conducted and no violation was reported.
