Pafos: The Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Michalis Damianos, highlighted the importance of supporting new entrepreneurship, start-ups, and innovation during a workshop held by the Pafos Municipal Youth Council at the 'Attikon' Cultural Centre.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Minister Damianos, in his address at the event titled 'Mapping Cyprus's Business Ecosystem - Empowering the new generation of entrepreneurs and start-ups', emphasized the pivotal role of youth in shaping the economic future of Cyprus. He expressed confidence in the nation's potential to evolve into a modern, dynamic, and competitive business hub.

The Minister pointed out that the business ecosystem in Cyprus is undergoing rapid evolution, driven by the green transition, digitalisation, innovation, and outward-looking policies. These factors, he noted, are creating new avenues for the development of business ideas.

Damianos underscored the capabilities of the younger generation, acknowledging their possession of the knowledge, skills, and creativity necessary to make significant contributions to the business sector.

He further stated that the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry is actively promoting new entrepreneurship and fostering innovation through various grant schemes. These initiatives aim to equip young individuals with the essential tools needed to transform their ideas into sustainable business ventures.
