Cyprus Experiences Weak High Pressure with Smooth Seas

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has reported that a weak high-pressure system is currently influencing the sea area around Cyprus. The atmospheric conditions are expected to remain mainly fine, although there will be intervals of increased low cloud coverage. The weather forecast for tomorrow indicates a shift towards partly cloudy to mainly cloudy skies.

According to Cyprus News Agency, visibility across the sea is reported to be good, with sea surface temperatures maintaining a steady 18°C. The department has not issued any warnings for the area, suggesting stable and safe conditions for maritime activities.

The forecast details for various coastal areas of Cyprus indicate variable wind patterns. On the West Coast, winds are expected to shift from north to northeast overnight and transition to an east to southeast flow by morning. The state of the sea will remain smooth to slight, with occasional local variations. The South Coast will experience northwest to northeast winds overnight, becoming northeast to southeast by morning, while maintaining a smooth to slight sea state throughout.

The East Coast will see a south to southwest flow initially, transitioning to a northwest to northeast pattern, and later shifting to a northeast to southeast direction. The sea conditions will remain smooth to slight, with minor local changes. The North Coast will experience southeast to southwest winds overnight, gradually shifting to an east to southeast pattern by afternoon, with smooth to slight sea conditions and minor local variations.
