Cyprus and UAE Foreign Ministers hold meeting

Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides held Friday a meeting in the UAE with his counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed.

According to a tweet from the Cyprus Foreign Ministry, it was an excellent meeting during which they “reaffirmed the growing strategic partnership from strength to strength”. It adds that the Minister is “grateful for hospitality and frank discussion on addressing challenges and exploring opportunities in our region.”

Meanwhile, in a tweet yesterday, Kasoulides said he met with Anwar Gargash, former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and now senior diplomatic advisor to the United Arab Emirates President.

They had a “useful exchange on strategic issues ranging from #Ukraine to #Gulfsecurity” Kasoulides wrote, adding that he is “committed to working closely with our strategic partner #UAE in furthering #Cyprus UAE bilateral rapport and prospects of #regionalmultilateralism”.
