Nicosia: Cyprus Meteorology Department has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms, set to come into effect from midnight Tuesday until 0900 local time on Wednesday. The warning highlights the likelihood of isolated heavy thunderstorms affecting initially the western and southern coastal areas, with a progression towards the eastern coastal areas later.
According to Cyprus News Agency, storm-affected areas may experience hail, accompanied by variable strengthening surface winds. The precipitation rate in these areas is expected to range between 35 and 55 millimeters per hour.
