Cold Air Mass and Weak High Pressure Influence Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating the influence of a cold air mass and weak high pressure. The forecast covers the period from 0600 on February 27, 2026, until 0600 on February 28, 2026, and extends 8 kilometers seawards.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of issuance is 1016 hPa. The area will experience locally increased cloud coverage at times, although visibility is expected to remain good throughout the forecast period. The sea surface temperature is currently 18°C, and there are no warnings issued for this period. Winds are measured using the Beaufort scale, but specific wind speeds are not provided in the forecast.
