President Christodoulides to Hold Key Meetings with Italian Leaders in Rome

Rome: The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, will meet on Friday in Rome with the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, as part of an official visit to Italy on February 26 and 27, at Mattarella's invitation. This significant meeting follows discussions held on Thursday between Christodoulides and the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, where the leaders announced plans to initiate a joint partnership document addressing shared priorities. According to Cyprus News Agency, Christodoulides will visit the Presidential Palace in Rome on Friday, where President Mattarella will officially welcome him. The meeting will include a working lunch hosted by the Italian President in honor of Christodoulides and his delegation, with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kompos also in attendance. In the latter part of the day, the two Presidents will jointly inaugurate the archaeological exhibition titled "Cyprus and Italy, Common Cultural Identity from the Beginning of History" at the Museum of Castel Sant'Angelo. Additionally, Christodoulides is scheduled to have a working meeting with Claudio Descalzi, the Chief Executive Officer of Eni, a company active in Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone.
