Jirí Šedivý, Chief Executive of the European Defence Agency (EDA) will pay a two day official visit to Cyprus on Monday.
The EDA Chief will address the opening ceremony of a Conference on Climate Change and Security between 11-12 October organised by the Cyprus Security and Defence Academy of the Defence Ministry in cooperation with European Security and Defence College and the support of the Cyprus Institute and the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration.
He will also have talks with Defence Minister Charalambos Petrides and will attend a meeting of representatives of Cypriot companies, research centres and institutions participating in the EDA and (EDA) and the European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP) programmes with a view to developing European capabilities regarding armament issues.
