Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, covering an area 8 kilometers seawards, for the period from 1200 on November 1, 2025, until 1200 on November 2, 2025. The report indicates that weak high pressure is currently affecting the region, resulting in mainly fine weather conditions.
According to Cyprus News Agency, atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1018 hPa. Sea surface temperatures are at 24°C, and visibility across the region is reported to be good, with no warnings issued. The wind conditions, measured on the Beaufort scale, vary slightly across different coasts of Cyprus but are largely consistent with smooth to slight sea states expected throughout the forecast period.
On the west coast, winds will vary from southwest to northwest in the afternoon, transitioning to northwest to northeast at night, and southeast by morning. The south coast will see winds from southeast to southwest in the afternoon, shifting northwest to north at night, and northeast to east by morning. The east coast will experience southeast to southwest winds in the afternoon, moving to northwest to north at night, and northeast by the morning. Lastly, the north coast will have northwest winds in the afternoon, changing to southeast to southwest at night, and returning to northwest by morning. The state of the sea is expected to remain smooth to slight across all coastal areas.
