President Christodoulides will lead Cyprus to new achievements, says Catholicos Aram I

Catholicos Aram I, Patriarch of the Armenian Church has expressed the belief that President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides will lead Cyprus to new achievements. Catholicos Aram was received on Monday at the Presidential Palace by President Christodoulides. ‘I am sure that with your political experience you are going to open a new prosperous chapter leading this country to new achievements,’ he said speaking during the meeting with the President. He also noted that being President in this globalised world where many conflicts exist of different nature is not easy, it is a challenge. He further referred to the long-standing relationship between the Church and people of Armenia with the Church and the people of Cyprus.

Cypriot judo players excel in IJF World Tour in Algeria

Cypriot judo players Georgios Krousaniotakis and Yiannis Antoniou excelled in the IJF World Tour ( U21) in Algeria. Krousaniotakis won a gold medal for the -100kg while Antoniou won silver in the +100. For Antoniou, it is his second medal in the games in Algeria. He won gold on Friday in the same category for the under 21.
