Zelenskyy to Brief EU Leaders in Person at Cyprus Meeting

Ayia napa: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to brief EU heads of state or government in person during the informal meeting in Cyprus on Thursday and Friday. This development was confirmed by CNA sources on Wednesday, which initially reported that Zelenskyy would address the EU leaders via video conference regarding the ongoing situation in Ukraine.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the summit is being held between April 23 and 24 in Ayia Napa and Nicosia as part of Cyprus' Presidency of the Council of the EU. Previously, Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna had mentioned that Zelenskyy was invited and expected to participate via video call before the working dinner on April 23 in Ayia Napa. However, the plan has changed, and Zelenskyy will now attend in person, marking a significant shift in the meeting's proceedings.
