According to Cyprus News Agency, Macron visited 'Andreas Papandreou' air base in Cyprus on Monday, where he met with President Nikos Christodoulides and the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The meeting underscored France's commitment to supporting Cyprus and fostering strong diplomatic ties in the region. The French President later visited Souda air base in Crete as well as the French aircraft carrier De Gaulle, which is sailing off the coast of Crete on its way to Cyprus. These visits highlight the strategic importance of military cooperation and the strengthening of defense relations between the countries involved.
