Nicosia: The Ministry of Transport announced on Monday that it will begin improvement works at the Agios Dometios crossing point on Wednesday, January 22, with an expected completion by May 21.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the improvement works, set to start on Wednesday, include the addition of a third lane towards the Turkish occupied areas and the establishment of an extra control point from these areas. Furthermore, upgrades will be made to enhance the facilities of various services, shelters, and sanitary areas, along with the construction of additional pedestrian sidewalks.
The improvement works are planned to span four months, with the contractual completion date slated for May 21, 2025.
