Weather Update: Isolated Showers Expected Over Cyprus Coastal Areas

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, predicting isolated showers and thunderstorms over the northern and southwestern coastal regions. The forecast is valid from 0600 on March 7, 2026, until 0600 the following day, covering an area up to 8 kilometers from the coastline. According to Cyprus News Agency, the current atmospheric pressure is recorded at 1017 hPa, with an upper-air trough influencing the weather conditions in the region. While visibility remains generally good, it may moderate during showers. The sea surface temperature is expected to be around 18°C. Despite the anticipated weather changes, no warnings have been issued for the area, and conditions are expected to remain stable outside of the isolated weather events. Local residents and maritime operators are advised to stay informed about potential developments.
