NICOSIA: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, predicting increased cloud coverage with a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms over the next 24 hours. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and is set for the period from 1200 on October 31, 2024, until 1200 on November 1, 2024.
According to Cyprus News Agency, weak low pressure is currently affecting the region. The forecast anticipates that the western and southern coastal areas will be most impacted, with the possibility of thunderstorms primarily predicted for tomorrow. Despite the expected showers, visibility is generally expected to remain good, although it may reduce to moderate levels during rain showers.
The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast’s release was recorded at 1012 hPa, and the sea surface temperature is currently 24°C. Importantly, no weather warnings have been issued for this period, indicating that while some weather disturbances are expec
ted, they are not considered severe.
