Accra:The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, covering a period from midday on October 3, 2026, to midday on October 4, 2026.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the area will experience low pressure and an unstable air mass, leading to occasional local showers and isolated thunderstorms. Winds in storm-affected areas may vary, strengthening to 5-6 on the Beaufort scale with stronger gusts. Visibility is expected to be good, though it may reduce to moderate or poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is reported at 27°C, with no warnings currently in effect.
The forecast details wind patterns and sea conditions for each coast of Cyprus. On the West Coast, winds will vary from southwest to northwest in the afternoon, northeast to southeast at night, and east to southeast by morning. The South Coast will see southwest winds in the afternoon, northwest to northeast at night, and shifting to southeast to southwest by morning. The East Coast is expected to have south to southwest winds in the afternoon, southwest to northwest at night, and east to southeast by morning. Finally, the North Coast will experience south to southwest winds in the afternoon, southeast to southwest at night, and southeast to south by morning. Throughout the forecast period, the state of the sea is predicted to range from smooth to slight across all coasts.
