Accra:The Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating that weak low pressure is affecting the sea area of Cyprus. The weather is expected to be mainly fine, although there will be periods of locally increased cloud coverage with isolated showers likely, particularly over the western, northern, and eastern regions from tonight. Dust may also be suspended at times.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast was 1010 hPa. Visibility is generally good, and the sea surface temperature is recorded at 26°C. There are no warnings currently in effect.

For the west coast, winds this afternoon will vary from south to southwest at forces of 3 to 4, and the sea state is expected to be slight. Overnight, winds will shift to north to northeast at 3, with offshore winds from northwest 3 to 4, making the sea smooth to slight. By morning, winds will be northwest 3, soon increasing to 3 to 4, with a smooth to slight sea state.

The south coast will experience southwest winds of 3 to 4 this afternoon, with a slight sea state. At night, northwest winds of 3 will prevail, and in the morning, winds will vary from northwest to northeast at 3, gradually shifting to southeast to southwest, with the sea remaining smooth to slight.

On the east coast, winds this afternoon will be from the south to southwest at force 3, with a smooth to slight sea state. Overnight, winds will transition to west to northwest at 3, and by morning, they will shift to northwest to northeast at 3, gradually changing to east to southeast at 3 to 4, maintaining a smooth to slight state.

For the north coast, the forecast shows southeast to southwest winds of 3 this afternoon and overnight, with the sea state remaining smooth to slight. In the morning, winds will change to west to northwest at 3, with the sea continuing to be smooth to slight.
