Weak Low Pressure System Influences Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that weak low pressure is currently affecting the region. The forecast, which covers an 8-kilometer area seawards, is valid from 0600 on October 26, 2025, to 0600 on October 27, 2025. During this period, locally increased cloud coverage is expected, particularly over the western and northern parts of the area.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast’s issuance was recorded at 1014 hectopascals. Despite the low-pressure system, visibility in the area remains good, and no warnings have been issued. The sea surface temperature is noted to be 25°C, and winds are being measured using the Beaufort scale. Overall, the forecast suggests stable conditions for the specified period.
